Snuff

My Dear Readers, I have always had a love for the macabre and frightful. I loved horror in any form I could get it. Be it books or films, tv shows or video games, if it was dripping with red corn syrup and pig guts, I was simply mesmerised.

If you're reading this then I know that you share my interest and I hope you have found joy in all the gruesome details of the stories I have dredged up from old websites and dusty archives. I also hope that you also see the underlying truth behind it all, that these stories are proof of a greater world out there, darkness lurking underneath the humdrum of our mundane lives.

This story, however, is a touch more personal. The following journal entries have been taken from a now defunct blogging site I used to write on, archiving a series of events leading up to an incident the police claim to have been fully resolved.

I hope that you, dear readers, will know better though. The things that happened to me defy normal explanation and while they try to keep us content and quiet, we can work against the powers that be as we uncover the truth on this site!

October is upon us and to honor the spookiest of the seasons, my brother Adam and I are going to the cinemas tomorrow to see a scary movie.

We're going to see this new film called Saw. I'm not sure what it's about but Adam said it was really big at a few film festivals over in the states and it's got buckets of blood. I was hesitant at first, all those fancy pants festival films Adam likes to go on are usually boring but this one is being fully released and it actually sounds like a good time.

I'll be back on here when I get home afterwards to talk about it and maybe even give a review, can't promise there won't be spoilers though!

Wowzers! Have I got some great news to tell you all!

Spoilers Ahead!

The movie was so great. When the one guy got up from the ground me and Adam were hollering in our seats and that bit where the doctor cut his own foot off! It was so gnarly!

I could see all the people in our row looking through their fingers at that part but I was too busy picking up my jaw from the floor.

We had a great time after the movie as well. There was this flea market thing set up near the cinema and I had a poke around while Adam went to the toilets (his mistake getting an XL sprite).

I found a pretty good deal, a pretty good looking pc on the cheap. The person running the stand was some old geezer with a ratty old beanie. He had this weird stony look in his eyes and for someone with a whole table of old junk, he seemed pretty unwilling to sell me the thing. He said it was too old school for a youngster like me.

Don't you worry though! Ol' Terry knows how to haggle and I got the whole thing for only fifty pounds, monitor and stuff included.

I'm not really sure how to set up something this old but Adam knows his tech better than me so he's going to take a look at it. Hopefully we can get it running so I can try that new Doom game you've all been raving about in the comments.

Okay, you guys are not going to believe this!

Adam started putting the pc together and he found a whole hard drive still in there and here's the kicker, it's full of old horror movie recordings!

They're not all winners mind, mostly those old VHS pictures where the monster is some guy in a rubber suit. There's got to be hundreds though and loads even I don't recognise.

I've heard that some of those old monster movies got lost during the switch to DVDs, so we might have our hands on some bona fide lost media.

Me and Adam are planning to pick out some of the ones we're not sure about to have a movie marathon. I shall report here if we find anything cool.
